The occupation targets journalists directly during its suppression of the Beit Dajan march

Palestinian photojournalists reported that the occupation forces deliberately and directly targeted them during their coverage of the march organized by the residents of Beit Dajan, east of Nablus, today, Friday, to protest the establishment of a settlement outpost on the lands of their village.

During these confrontations, a number of photojournalists were injured, including Nidal Shtayyeh, who was hit by three rubber bullets in the left leg, and Muhammad Abu Thabet, who was hit by a rubber bullet in the back.

Shtayyeh, a photojournalist, said that he heard an Israeli officer present at the site asking his soldiers to target journalists directly.

Hundreds of Beit Dajan residents marched after Friday prayers at the invitation of the Faction Coordination Committee and the Committee to Resist the Wall and Settlement to protest the outpost east of the village, but the occupation forces intercepted the march and rained live and rubber bullets and tear gas canisters on the participants.
