Nablus: The occupation suppressed two peaceful marches against the settlements in Beit Dajan and Beit Dajan

The occupation forces suppressed two peaceful marches against settlement, the first in the town of Beita, south of Nablus, and the second in the village of Beit Dajan, east of it. This resulted in dozens of civilians suffering from suffocation due to inhaling tear gas.

In the town of Beita, a mass rally took place on Friday prayers towards "Jabal Sabih", south of the town, called by the National Action factions, to expel settlers who recently established a settlement outpost on the top of the mountain with protection from the occupation forces. The occupation forces, which deployed on the mountain extensively, began firing live and rubber bullets, stun grenades and tear gas grenades at the participants in the march, which turned into violent confrontations with the occupation forces, in which dozens of civilians were suffocated.

In the village of Beit Dajan, a peaceful march was also launched, after the Friday prayers, to protest against the settlement outpost that settlers established several months ago in the eastern region of the village’s lands.

The occupation forces intercepted the march called by the People's Committee for the Defense of the Village's Lands, and rained bullets and tear gas canisters on the participants, resulting in at least one bullet wound and they were taken to hospital, while dozens were suffocated.
