"Shams": 122 facilities targeted by the occupation in April

The Center for Human Rights and Democracy Information "Shams" issued its monthly observatory for the month of April 2021 on demolition, confiscation, eviction and seizure operations carried out by the occupation against Palestinian facilities, whether religious, tourist, industrial, commercial, educational, official or agricultural. On the residential ones.

The report dealt with the Israeli violations against Palestinian facilities during the period 4/1/2021 - 4/30/2021 in all governorates of the West Bank, where 122 facilities owned by Palestinians were targeted, whether by demolition, confiscation, eviction, or notifications with the intention to target these facilities in the future.

The center said that the most prominent violations were the demolitions that affected 20 facilities, 2 of which were forced to self-demolish their owners under threat of fines and imprisonment.

While the occupation forces confiscated and seized 14 facilities, they confiscated a caravan in the Wadi Al-Rakhim area in the village of Susiya, east of the town of Yatta in the Hebron governorate. Under Israeli control.

The occupation authorities in Jerusalem forced the citizen Amjad Muslim Jaabis to personally demolish his house (under construction), after notifying him earlier, in order to avoid paying heavy fines if the occupation authorities carried out the demolition, under the pretext of not having a permit.

Citizen Amer Salem Shqairat was also forced to personally demolish his 90-square-meter house, after notifying him earlier, in order to avoid paying heavy fines in case the occupation authorities carried out the demolition, under the pretext of not having a permit while he was living with his wife and four children.
