18 Palestinians injured after the occupation army´s suppression of the "Kafr Qaddum" march

Today, Friday, 18 Palestinian citizens were injured by rubber-coated metal bullets, and dozens of people suffocated with tear gas, while the Israeli occupation army dispersed a protest rally in the northern occupied West Bank.

The coordinator of the popular resistance in Kafr Qaddum, Murad Shteiwi, said, in press statements, that violent confrontations broke out in the town, after the army dispersed a weekly march condemning the settlement and demanding the opening of a main street that has been closed by the occupation for 17 years.

He added that dozens of Israeli soldiers stormed the village, on top of the rooftops, and fired a barrage of metal bullets and tear gas canisters.

He pointed out that the occupation army fired shots, wounding 18 civilians with rubber-coated metal bullets, in addition to tens of suffocation, including women and children.

While the demonstrators threw stones at the Israeli soldiers, and chanted slogans condemning the Israeli settlement, and demanding that the occupation leave the Palestinian lands, according to eyewitnesses.

Every Friday, every week, anti-settlement rallies are organized in a number of Palestinian villages and towns, most notably the town of Kafr Qaddum.
