Gaza: One infant dies and 195 new cases of Corona

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced, this morning, Thursday, the death of a 6-month-old baby, and 195 new cases of Corona virus during the past 24 hours.
The ministry stated in its daily report that the child, Muhammad Adham Shaheen, from Jabalia, died as a result of being infected with the Coronavirus in the European Gaza Hospital.
It indicated that the central laboratory conducted tests for 1906 new samples during the same period.
The total number of injured people since last March has reached 1551, of which 1427 are active cases, of whom 1422 are from within the Gaza Strip, and 5 are returnees.
The number of people recovered reached 114, while 10 deaths, 9 of them from within the Gaza Strip, and the tenth from returnees.
The ministry said that the emergency operations room is still following the epidemiological situation and the health system's response to its developments, stressing that the citizen's awareness and discipline of preventive measures will enhance societal behavior to break the episodes of outbreaks.
And she stressed the need that the commitment and discipline of citizens will enhance the resilience of the health system in the face of the epidemic.
She called on everyone to deal responsibly without laxity or recklessness, calling on everyone to maintain wearing the muzzle, washing hands, physical distancing, and staying away from gatherings.
