Gaza Health: The map of those in contact with injuries in the Gaza Strip is expanding

Gaza's Ministry of Health spokesman Ashraf al-Qadra confirmed tuesday that the map of the epidemic in the Gaza Strip continues to follow, noting that the contact map of infections is expanding, and the spread of the virus may increase.

"We have large numbers of contacts and medical staff pulling out very large samples, and we have the capabilities to conduct about 1,000 tests a day," al-Qadra told Voice of Jerusalem radio.

He announced the existence of a specialized committee from the ministries of health and interior in Gaza that will investigate contacts and conduct surveys to break the cycles of the epidemic in the Gaza Strip, adding, "We are trying to cut the details of the areas in the Gaza Strip, to break the outbreak swell due to population density and increase density of contacts."

Al-Qadra noted that there are 313 patients with the coronavirus in the Hospital of Epidemiology and Isolation in the Gaza Strip, whose condition is being monitored, pointing out that there are two cases of critical condition.

He pointed out that there are three segments to be dealt with, namely the category of the suspect case, the category of contact, and the category close to contacts, and therefore the tests are carried out.

"We adopt the privacy approach for all patients in the Gaza Strip, and any names of patients issued illegally, we will try to identify and pursue the source of the publication," he said, noting that this is a very sensitive phase that requires caution.

With regard to the negative test result of THE CORONAvirus, he noted that this result does not mean that the patient is free of the virus, explaining that this is the result of the different incubation period of the disease.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Ashraf Al-Qadra, called on all citizens not to leave the houses at all, except in the narrowest of circumstances, wearing muzzles, spacing and sterilization, especially contacts who have to abide by personal protective measures, and stay away from the young, the elderly and those with chronic diseases.
