5 wounded by rubber bullets and tens of suffocation during the Turmus Aya clashes

 5 civilians were injured with rubber-coated metal bullets, and dozens suffocated with tear gas, today, Friday, during the suppression of the Israeli occupation forces, a peaceful march in the town of Turmus Aya, north of Ramallah.

The mayor of Turmus Aya Saeed Taleb said that the occupation army fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas towards citizens who marched peacefully towards their lands threatened with seizure to establish a new settlement outpost, and to demand its removal.

He added that the townspeople performed Friday prayers on lands threatened with seizure, and that the occupation forces fired "rubber" bullets at them, wounding 5 young men, in addition to dozens of suffocation cases with tear gas.

Talib pointed out that the occupation forces seized the eastern plain of the town several months ago, and set up tents in it with the aim of establishing a new settlement outpost, indicating that the area of ​​the plain is estimated at 3,500 dunams, which is considered a source of livelihood for the farmers there.

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, and the national and popular forces and activities in the Ramallah governorate, called for Friday prayers, next to the lands of Turmus Aya, which are threatened with seizure, and to participate in the march to reject the new settlement outpost.
