Prince Harry, Megan and Archie embark on their first family tour in Africa

Prince Harry, his wife Meghan Markle and their 4-month-old son Archie are set to begin a 10-day visit to South Africa on Monday, during which Harry will follow in the footsteps of his late mother, Princess Diana. .

"Africa is a region of the world that over the past two decades has been my second home," Harry wrote on his Instagram page a few weeks before the trip, their first official tour as a family and starting in South Africa.

The family will spend three days together in Cape Town, where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will visit social and environmental projects and meet with Archbishop Desmond Tutu - a prominent anti-apartheid activist - as well as representatives of religions and youth leaders.

Harry will then travel alone to Botswana, Angola and Malawi, where he will participate in tree planting efforts in a nature reserve, observe an overfishing exercise and visit projects related to HIV / AIDS.

Harry will rejoin Meghan in South Africa on October 1, a day before their trip to Johannesburg.
