330 Attacks against media freedoms in Palestine

The Palestinian Center for Development and Media Freedoms (MADA) reported on Monday an increase in violations of media freedoms in Palestine during the first half of 2019, 330 attacks compared to 277 recorded during In the period from 2018, a total increase of 53 attacks or 19%.

Of these attacks, 150 have been committed by Israeli forces and authorities (constituting 45% of all attacks) and 115 attacks by different Palestinian groups (constituting 35% of attacks). A total of 27 Palestinian violations were recorded in the West Bank in the first half of 2019, with a total of 88 violations by Palestinians in the Gaza Strip during the same period.

The arrests and detentions led to a total of 37 cases of Palestinian violations, 16 of whom were arrested and detained during the detention (15 of them in Gaza and one in the West Bank), an unprecedented Palestinian.
