Ramallah: Protest in response to the U.S. administration´s suspension of funding/"UNRWA"

Dozens of citizens on Tuesday took part in a protest staged by the national and Islamic forces in response to the US administration's decision to stop funding for the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).

The head of the national and Islamic forces, Essam Bakr, said in front of the American House in the city: the pause here to emphasize the adherence to national constants, foremost of which is the right to return, and reject the policy of barter and blackmail of America, through which attempts to write off the right to return, stop aid and transfer funds Unrwa.

He said the US House is affiliated with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), which is affiliated with its foreign ministry, which in turn has made a decision to stop the aid.

"The US decision means declaring a war in preparation for the dismantling of the UNRWA agency, with the aim of abolishing the right of return and removing it," Baker said, stressing that the Palestinian people and leadership are upholding the right of return in accordance with resolution 194, and will not accept bargaining and barter on our national rights guaranteed by international law.

The US position is an aggression against the Palestinian people, calling on all international institutions and the international community to shoulder their responsibilities in order to implement the resolutions of the international legitimacy that concern the Palestinian people in establishing their state and capital, he said. Al-Quds Al-Sharif and the return of refugees in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy.

For his part, the spiritual August of the Royal Roman Catholic Church, Abdallah July, stressed that the issue of refugees is a fundamental issue, national constants, and we will not abandon any legitimate Palestinian rights.
