Data: More than 400 thousand unemployed in Palestine

Official data showed that the unemployment rate in Palestine will rise in 2018.

According to a statement by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS), the employment rate reached about 31 percent of the work, compared to 28 percent in the previous year. The number rose from 377,000 in 2017 to 426,000 last year.

 The number of wage earners in the private sector was 350,000 and founded about 53 per cent of all wage earners in Palestine; 245,000 were from the West Bank and 105,000 from the Gaza Strip, compared with about 30 per cent in the public sector and about 17 per cent in the private sector.
