A martyr, injuries, and houses set on fire, following the settlers´ attack on southern Nablus

Sunday, February 26, 2023, and dozens of citizens were injured, and several houses, facilities, and vehicles were burned in an attack by settlers, under the protection of the occupation forces, on the town of Hawara, south of  Nablus  .

And the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the death of Sameh Hamdallah Mahmoud Aqtash (37 years old), who succumbed to severe wounds, which he sustained with live bullets in the abdomen, as a result of the occupation forces and settlers attacking the town of Za. . . . . 'tara.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society said that its teams dealt with 100 injuries as a result of attacks by settlers and the occupation army in the town of Hawara, noting that among the injured was a citizen who was injured after being attacked with knives by settlers, and another who was injured after being hit with an iron rod, and a diabetic patient fainted. And 97 cases of gas suffocation

The association added that the occupation prevented its crews from entering Hawara and reaching the injured, and attacked 3 ambulances, one of which belonged to the Crescent.

Two officers from the Burin Civil Defense crew were injured when settlers attacked a civil defense vehicle near Salman Al-Farsi roundabout in the town.

Officer Mamoun Al-Bourini stated that they had received a request for help to extinguish a fire that broke out in a house during an attack by settlers in Hawara, and when they reached the site of the house near Salman Al-Farsi roundabout, about 50 settlers attacked them with stones.

He pointed out that settlers attacked civil defense vehicles with the presence of the occupation army, which led to the injury of two officers and the smashing of the vehicle's windows.

The settlers organized a march near the Salman Al-Farsi roundabout, under the protection of the occupation forces, during which they targeted a number of houses with stones, and also attacked houses near the entrance to the town of Beita, south of Nablus.

A group of settlers assaulted the citizen, Moataz Anis Al-Deek, in the town of Huwwara, wounding him. After that, he was transferred to the Ibn Sina Emergency Department, and his condition was described as stable.

The settlers also burned houses in the town belonging to the citizens: Raouf Abu Haniyeh Abu Rashad, Abdullah Al-Hawari, Ismail Ghaleb Al-Deek, and Nawras Odeh, in addition to burning a vehicle and “barracks.” They destroyed the homes of Muhammad Khaled Odeh, Anis Al-Dik, and Shadi Abu Sebta.
