Rashida Tlaib wins US congressional primary

Palestinian-American Congressman Rashida Tlaib won a major victory in the Democratic Party primaries to choose the party's candidate in the upcoming elections scheduled for the end of this year for the 12th district in Michigan, in which she won two consecutive memberships of Congress.

Tlaib received 64.4% of the vote against 20% for her rival Janice Winfrey, who is strongly supported by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, AIPAC, after providing tens of millions of dollars to defeat Tlaib, who is known for her positions in support of the Palestinian cause with a large number of members of Congress from the Democratic Party. Electronic support for candidate Winfrey as a friend and supporter of the occupation state.

Tlaib, who will compete with Republican candidate Stephen Elliot in the Democratic Party district, shared, through her Twitter account, everyone who worked with her during her election campaign, and everyone who stood by her side to win.
