One dead, three wounded in Russian bombing of a hospital in eastern Ukraine

One person was killed and three others were wounded Sunday in a Russian bombing of a hospital in Robyzhny in eastern Ukraine, the region's governor, Sergey Gaidai, announced on Telegram, without giving further details.

"An enemy shell hit Rubijni Hospital," Gaidai said on Telegram, posting a picture of rescuers digging among the rubble.

This area, near Lugansk in the Donbass Basin, has been the target of numerous raids since the start of the Russian invasion on February 24.

On Saturday, the Ukrainian authorities reported that Russian forces were withdrawing from the northern regions of Ukraine and moving towards the east and south of the country.

The Russian army had recently announced that it would focus its offensive on Donbass in eastern Ukraine.
