Large crowds mourned this evening, Wednesday, the body of the martyr Ammar Abu Afifa (21 years), from the Al-Aroub refugee camp, north of Hebron. He was killed yesterday by Israeli bullets at the entrance to the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem.
The funeral procession set off from Al-Ahly Hospital in Hebron, towards the center of Al-Aroub camp, where his family took a farewell look at him at their home, before the mourners performed the funeral prayer, and he was buried in the camp cemetery.
The occupation forces deployed at the entrances to the camp coinciding with the funeral of the martyr Abu Afifa, before clashes erupted following the burial, which led to the injury of two young men with live bullets, and dozens of people suffocated with gas.
And local sources reported , that the occupation forces fired a barrage of tear gas canisters at the youths, noting that they later used live and rubber bullets, which led to the injury of two young men.
Yesterday, the occupation forces detained the body of the martyr before it was handed over to his relatives last night, as the head of the North Hebron Public Prosecution, Fuad Al-Awawda, decided to transfer his body to the forensic doctor, and investigate the circumstances of his death, after obtaining the approval of his family, to build a legal investigation file.
This morning, the body was transferred to the Forensic Medicine Institute at Abu Dis University, before it was returned to Al-Ahly Hospital, and his body was buried.
