40 Hollywood stars consider Israel an apartheid state

More than 40 Hollywood stars announced, in a joint statement, their solidarity with the star of the "Harry Potter" films, Emma Watson, who is being subjected to an Israeli campaign as a result of her solidarity with Palestine.

The list of famous actors who signed the letter of solidarity with the Palestinian people includes famous stars, including: Susan Sarandon, Mark Ruffalo, Gael Garcia Bernal, Peter Capaldi, Maxine Beck, Viggo Mortensen, Steve Coogan, Charles Dance, and Harriet Walter.

The artists affirmed their support for Palestine, and said in their letter: “We join Emma Watson in supporting the simple statement that solidarity is an act, including meaningful solidarity with Palestinians who fight for their human rights under international law. We oppose injustice anywhere in the world, and we stand with All who seek to end persecution.”

They pointed to “an imbalance of potential power between Israel, the occupying power, and the Palestinians as a people subject to a regime of military occupation and apartheid, as described by Human Rights Watch and the Israeli human rights organization B’Tselem, and by Palestinian and international human rights experts.”

And the statement of the big stars announced their solidarity with what was published by the star Watson on her page earlier this month on the “Instagram” website, when she shared a phrase saying “Solidarity is an act” written on a picture of demonstrators taken in a march in solidarity with Palestine, as the star was exposed as a result to an Israeli campaign.
