The bulldozing of 50 dunums to expand the settlement of “Yitzhar”

Settlers bulldozed today, Monday, large areas of the lands of Burin town, south of Nablus.

The Director General of Publication and Documentation at the Settlement and Wall Resistance Commission, Qassem Awad, stated that settlers' bulldozers razed about 50 dunums of land near the "Yitzhar" settlement.

He explained that the settlers recently established a number of settlement units in the bulldozed lands, threatening to seize large areas of the town's lands owned by the people of the villages and towns of Burin, Hawara and Asira al-Qibliya.

He stressed that this area was declared as areas of influence by settlements for decades, and citizens are prohibited from accessing it, cultivating and reclaiming it.

He said that these settlement projects come within the framework of the integration of roles between the various arms of the occupation at the legislative, executive and judicial levels, the occupation forces and settler gangs, in the context of the seizure of land and turning the West Bank into isolated cantons from each other.
