Residents of The Village of Barqa respond to settler attack

The people of Burqa village, north of Nablus, responded this evening, Tuesday, to an attack by a number of settlers at the entrance to the town.

The official in charge of the settlement file in the northern West Bank, Ghassan Daghlas, said that a number of settlers attacked the town of Burqa, and the residents confronted them, amid the outbreak of confrontations and the closure of the road between Jenin and Nablus.

It is noteworthy that the settlers storm the area almost daily in an attempt to return to the “Homish” settlement, which has been evacuated since 2005 and built on the lands of the villages: Burqa in Nablus, Wasilat al-Dhahr and al-Mafqadumiyeh, south of Jenin.
