Signing a grant agreement from Japan worth 8 million dollars to confront Corona

Under the patronage and presence of Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh and Japan’s representative to Palestine Masayuki Maguchi, Finance Minister Shukri Bishara and Minister of Health Mai Al-Kaila signed with the head of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) office in Palestine, Toshiya Abe, a grant from the government The Japanese government, in the amount of 8 million dollars, to support Palestine’s efforts to confront “Corona”, today, Wednesday, at the Prime Minister’s Office in Ramallah.

The Prime Minister conveyed greetings to the Prime Minister and the Japanese people for their continuous support to Palestine at all levels, which contributes to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

Shtayyeh valued this grant provided to the Ministry of Health to confront the spread of the “Corona” virus, and thanked Japan for this grant, which was given to seven countries in the world, including Palestine.

For his part, the representative of Japan said, “We offer this grant to Palestine in order to support the emergency response to confront the Corona virus, and we will spare no effort to work on the humanitarian and development level to confront the economic and social challenges facing Palestine, and we will continue to support Palestine at all levels.”

It is noteworthy that this grant includes refrigerators and refrigerated cars to store vaccines, in addition to laboratory equipment, and special equipment for coronavirus tests.
