Strike since 77 days .. His wife Maher al-Akhras: The Red Cross refused to give a report about my husband´s health

Taghreed Al-Akhras, wife of the hunger-striking prisoner, Maher Al-Akhras, from the town of Silat Al-Dhahr in Jenin, said that the Red Cross refused to report on her husband's deteriorating health.

Al-Akhras held all parties responsible for her husband’s life, adding in a radio interview: “My husband is fighting the battle for freedom, not for himself but for all free and administrative detainees. By the pressure as a result of a previous arrest in 2018, and today his body is very weak and his weight has decreased in half, "noting that he is in grave danger.

And she continued, "Maher al-Akhras refuses to compromise his freedom, and Egypt to release without conditions or testimony."

Taghreed Al-Akhras explained that "the Gaza stance and the permanent sit-in inside the headquarters of the Red Cross in Jenin had a positive impact on the case of my captive husband, Maher Al-Akhras."

Taghreed Al-Akhras is going on hunger strike at Kaplan Hospital in solidarity with her captive husband, Maher Al-Akhras, for the fifth day in a row. She is a mother of six children. She left her family to join her husband, who went on hunger strike for 77 days.
