oday, Friday, the Minister of Health, Mai Al-Kailah, announced that two new deaths and 724 new cases of Coronavirus have been recorded, and 164 infected people have recovered during the past 24 hours after performing 4,115 examinations.
She added in a press release today, Friday, that the two deaths were recorded for a 29-year-old citizen from Qalandia camp, and a 71-year-old citizen from Balata camp in Nablus.
Al-Kaila said: The rate of recovery from the Corona virus in Palestine reached 67.5%, while the rate of active infections reached 31.9%, and the death rate was 0.6% of all infections.
She indicated that the new infections were distributed among the governorates as follows:
Hebron Governorate (286).
Nablus governorate (19).
Bethlehem Governorate (49).
Qalqilya Governorate (34).
Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate (46).
Jenin Governorate (4).
Jericho and Al Aghwar (10).
Salfit Governorate (2).
Tulkarm Governorate (16).
Tubas (2).
Gaza Strip (57 during the past 48 hours).
Jerusalem Governorate (199), including 57 in the suburbs.
And the Minister of Health added that new recoveries were recorded in:
Jenin Governorate (5).
The City of Jerusalem (67).
Qalqilya Governorate (17).
Nablus governorate (75).
Al-Kaila pointed out that there are 40 patients in the intensive care rooms, including 6 patients on artificial respirators.
