The "European Co-ordination" calls for a review in partnership with Israel once the annexation is implemented

The European Coordinating Committee called on European committees, societies and institutions supporting Palestine (ECCP) to reconsider the partnership agreement between the European Union and Israel, and to take immediate measures against the latter in the event that it includes any part of the occupied West Bank.

This came in a letter sent by the Committee to the President of the European Council Charles Michel, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Lin, and the heads of state or government of the European Union member states.

The committee includes more than 20 European institutions and societies that support Palestinian rights in Europe. It was established in 1986 and is based in Brussels.

"On the Palestinian issue, the European Union stands firmly on the principles set forth in the December 2012 council statements, which" Israel has not yet returned the pre-1967 borders, "it follows, as soon as Israel changes its borders by One, it is no longer the same. "

She added that "from this perspective, the review of the Association Agreement between the European Union and Israel is not just a matter of foreign policy, but rather a question of survival consistent with the principles of the European Union itself."

She emphasized that "no agreement should be signed with Israel regarding its participation in the (Horizon Europe) technology support program, and if any agreement has already been signed, it must be canceled immediately."

She added that "regardless of the position of the minority on the member states, a path can and must be found to suspend the partnership agreement with Israel, especially in these two areas, as long as Israel does not rescind the annexation decisions," stressing that it is a very important point for all those concerned with human rights and the rule of (international) law. , And "We believe the credibility of the European Union is at stake."
