Corona injuries in the world approaching 10 million, and US states stop the resumption of economic activities

The new Corona virus has killed nearly half a million people worldwide since its appearance in China in December, while infections have approached 10 million cases in 196 countries and regions, at least half of whom have recovered.

These figures only reflect part of the true number of injuries, as many countries only conduct tests for the most serious cases, while other countries give priority to conducting tests to track contacts of the injured, and a number of poor countries have limited screening capabilities.

The United States is the most affected country, and data showed that the total number of cases of the disease exceeded 2.5 million, and the total number of deaths reached 125 thousand, followed by Brazil, where 55,961 deaths out of 1,274,974 injuries, followed by the United Kingdom with 43,414 deaths out of 309,360 injuries, then Italy with 34,708 deaths (239,961 injuries), and France with 29,778 deaths (199,343 injuries).

Europe counted 195,655 deaths out of 2,622,813 injuries.

In Latin America and the Caribbean, 108,222 deaths (2,369,242 injuries), Asia 32,439 deaths (1,183,410 injuries), the Middle East 15,046 deaths (708,759 injuries) and Africa 9,250 deaths (359,944 injuries) and Oceania 133 deaths (9,109 injuries).

And the Indian government announced, on Saturday, that the number of injured exceeded 500 thousand in the country that set a record number of 18 thousand and 500 injuries in one day. While Iran announced the registration of 125 deaths and 2456 new injuries during the past 24 hours.

The rapid rise in the number of casualties in the United States has led many states to either halt or resume economic activities.

The American Center for Disease Control and Prevention stated that the number of infected people in the United States is probably 10 times higher than the current number of confirmed cases, exceeding a level higher than 20 million.

Other forecasts warn that by October 1, American deaths will approach 180,000, according to the Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluations at Washington University.

Arably, the Jordanian government announced the registration of 7 injuries, all of them non-local, raising the total to 1111 injuries.

The Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Tariq Al-Hammouri, decided, on Saturday, to resume the work of leisure and tourism cities in tourist resorts.

Kuwait also announced the registration of 688 injuries and 3 deaths.

In Muscat, the Ministry of Health announced the registration of six deaths and 919 new infections.

The Moroccan Ministry of Health announced the registration of 221 new cases of Coronavirus, taking the total infections in the country to 11,854 cases.

In Doha, the Qatar Ministry of Health announced the registration of one death and 879 new injuries.

In Riyadh, the Saudi Ministry of Health announced the registration of 37 new deaths and 3,927 injuries.

The Ministry of Health in Lebanon announced the registration of 22 new injuries, while no deaths were recorded.

In Baghdad, the Ministry of Health announced 2069 new injuries, as well as 101 deaths.
