And the organization quoted, with warnings from experts at the United Nations, that "the annexation plan will exacerbate decades of human rights violations against the Palestinians."

On Tuesday, UN experts, in a statement released by the United Nations High Commissioner, called on the international community to oppose the annexation, considering that the move violates a basic principle in international law.

Experts called for "accountability and ending impunity" to become an immediate priority of the international community.
