Gantz: Do not serve with Netanyahu and a positive atmosphere with Lieberman

Benny Gantz, leader of the blue-white party in charge of forming the Israeli government, said on Monday there was no progress in talks with the Likud party, especially the meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu.

Gantz said in a statement carried by the site "Yediot Aharonot" that he was not able to reach any result, and that he hopes to succeed later.

He stressed that his party aspires to form a broad government whose aim is to deal with the security situation, not to provide immunity to anyone, pointing out that the Likud insists to represent the right bloc and that there is immunity for him and his leader.

In a related context, the Gantz party announced that the meeting with the latter Avigdor Lieberman, leader of the Yisrael Beiteinu party took place in a positive atmosphere, and agreed to meet again.

The party's statement noted that the meeting discussed security issues, the state budget and possible political scenarios. He pointed out that they agreed that the negotiating teams of the two parties to hold an update meeting of what was agreed upon.
