Settlers accompanied by rabbis break into the courtyards of al-Aqsa

On Sunday, Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the southern part of the mosque, amid heavy security reinforcements from the Israeli occupation authorities.

Local sources pointed out that settlement groups, led by Jewish rabbis, stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque and began to patrol Bahatah.

The incursions come with calls by extremist groups within the framework of the so-called "Organization of the Temple Organizations" to expropriate Al-Aqsa Mosque in large numbers of settlers.

Special units of the Israeli occupation police stormed the chapel of "Bab al-Rahma" in the eastern part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque last night and desecrated the prayer hall with their shoes and emptied it of its contents.

Since mid-February, the city of Jerusalem has been in a state of tension after Palestinian worshipers opened the Bab al-Rahma chapel at Al-Aqsa Mosque, which was closed since 2003 by an Israeli decision on the pretext of an illegal institution.
