Thirty-six people were killed after a copper mine collapsed in Congo

At least 36 people have died in Congo after a copper mine collapsed.

The governor of the southern state of Loalaba, Richard Moeij, said on Thursday that the copper mine was operated by a private company.

The governor explained that the dead were working there illegally, pointing out that the search is still in progress neighborhoods, but did not show how collapsed the mine.

The Central African Republic is a country rich in natural resources such as copper and cobalt.

Such fatal accidents are frequently found in mining mines.
