Jerusalem's head of the Israeli occupation municipality, Moshe Lemon, is planning to silence the minarets of Jerusalem in implementation of a bill to "silence the minarets", according to Hebrew media.

According to the Hebrew media, Moshe Lieberman, close to the head of the Israel House party, Avigdor Liberman, decided to implement the scheme, and to monitor the implementation of tens of millions of people, less than two months after his election, and less than a year after recommending to the Israeli Government committee to give the police powers to break into mosques And grab the speakers if the ears are lifted or the speakers are used at times that are not allowed.

The draft law "silencing the Adhaan ", which was approved by the Knesset on preliminary reading in March March 2017, prohibits the use of loudspeakers or the lifting of ears through loudspeakers in mosques between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.

The draft also proposes restrictions on the use of loudspeakers at night, and also the prohibition of daytime use if the sound exceeds that allowed under the noise act, with the value of the fine being up to 10,000 NIS.

The Islamic Christian Authority for the support of Jerusalem and the holy places, seeking to silence the minarets of the mosques of the occupied Jerusalem, was considered a serious and new crime against the Holy shrines in occupied Jerusalem.
