Gaza _ Palestine News Network

At least 46 people were injured Friday when the occupation was suppressed by the weekly return march along the eastern and northern borders of the Gaza Strip.

According to the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, 46 citizens were injured by live and rubber bullets and gas canisters, citing a gas bomb in the shoulder.

Photographer Attia Darwish, a cameraman for the government's local opinion agency, was also hit by a gas grenade in the face during his coverage of events east of Jabaliya in the northern Gaza Strip.

For his part, the Israeli army said that some 10,000 Palestinians had demonstrated on the border and threw stones and Molotov cocktails, while army forces had responded with gunfire and gas canisters to them.

He said 20 Palestinian demonstrators had infiltrated into the border and then returned without causing any damage.
