The New York Times suspends a Palestinian photographer

The New York Times has suspended photojournalist Hussam Salem , a resident of the Gaza Strip, from working under the pretext of "anti-Semitism".

According to what Salem wrote on his Facebook page, he was informed of the decision to stop him from working as a freelance photojournalist with the newspaper by a quick phone call.

He indicated that he later understood that the decision was taken on the charge of "anti-Semitism", the same accusation that was leveled against other Palestinian who were recently dismissed in the same manner, by a Dutch journalist with Israeli citizenship.

And Salem indicated that that journalist, in his report, dealt with publications (ie Husam himself) in which he supports the resistance and the Palestinian people during the repeated Israeli aggression.

Salem accused the New York Times of blatant bias towards the occupation.
