A Palestinian movement at the United Nations to stop the Israeli escalation in Jerusalem

The Permanent Representative of Palestine to the United Nations announced a Palestinian movement at the United Nations to stop the Israeli escalation in the city of Jerusalem, which has continued since the month of Ramadan.

Ambassador Riyad Mansour told the official Voice of Palestine radio, on Wednesday, that the Palestinian mission had sent memos to the UN Security Council, the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the President of the General Assembly containing “the Israeli violations committed these days in Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Bab Al-Amud area.”

Mansour stated that the Palestinian mission is communicating with the components of the international community, whether members of the Security Council, the Palestine Committee at the United Nations, the Non-Aligned Movement, and the Movement's Coordination Office, which will hold its monthly meeting tomorrow, Thursday, and there is a permanent item briefing by the State of Palestine on the agenda.

Mansour added that the current events in the Palestinian territories will be presented in detail at the open session of the Security Council to discuss the situation in the Palestinian issue on April 25, noting that the Palestinian mission will demand the council to assume its responsibilities and stop illegal practices from the Israeli authorities.
