Media Forum condemns the occupation´s attacks on journalists in the West Bank

Today, Saturday, the Palestinian Media Forum strongly condemned the occupation's attacks on journalists, yesterday, Friday, in Beita and Beit Dajan in the West Bank.

 

In a statement, the Forum said, the Israeli occupation forces continue their blatant aggression against Palestinian journalists without any regard for international laws and humanitarian charters affirming freedom of the press. Yesterday, a number of journalists were brutally attacked by the Israeli occupation forces. A number of journalist colleagues without a legal or logical reason, and it obstructed their journalistic work and forcibly removed them from the place, in the town of Beita and the village of Beit Dajan.

The Forum added that the persistence of the Israeli occupation with its repeated attacks on Palestinian journalists is a natural result of the silence of the international organizations concerned with protecting journalists, especially the International Federation of Journalists, Reporters Without Borders and the Union of Arab Journalists, especially in light of the failure to prosecute and hold the occupation accountable for its previous crimes against journalists and media institutions that were subjected to aggression. wide in May of last year.

 

The Forum stressed the need for immediate and urgent action to protect journalists from a series of Israeli violations, and to compel the occupation authorities to respect international laws regarding freedom of journalistic work, and to ensure that Palestinian journalists enjoy that.

 

The Palestinian Media Forum commends the keenness and insistence of the Palestinian media knights to perform their professional duty and national role despite the series of Israeli violations, and salutes their insistence on exposing the crimes and violations of the occupation against humans, stones and trees in the occupied Palestinian territories.
