The Follow-up Committee of the National and Islamic Forces in the Gaza Strip affirmed today, Wednesday, that it is determined to continue the resistance and struggle to break the siege and not surrender to the will of the occupation.
This came in a statement, following an emergency meeting it held today, to discuss several issues, including the dangerous repercussions of the continuation of the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip, and the occupation’s attempts to empty the victory in the Battle of Saif al-Quds from its content by putting pressure on the popular incubator of the resistance, which was the main reason for this victory. The occupation changed the rules of engagement with the resistance.
The committee said in a statement that "what the occupation did not take with aggression and bombing, it will not be achieved through siege and closure, and that the continuation of the closure on the Gaza Strip increases the state of tension."
The Follow-up Committee called on international institutions and the countries of the free world to pressure the occupying country to end its policies against our people everywhere
In another context, the Follow-up Committee of the National and Islamic Forces in Gaza saluted the revolting Palestinian masses throughout the great Palestinian homeland, and saluted the souls of the martyrs, the last of whom were the martyrs of the city of Jenin, who represent the true expression of the Palestinian affiliation to his land and its holy sites, and to all the revolutionaries in the cities of the occupied West Bank and those who are stationed in The city of Jerusalem, and for the people of the occupied interior who cling to their Palestinian Arab identity, and to the people of Gaza who are holding on to the embers of the homeland despite the siege. As stated in the statement.
The committee stopped at the 52nd anniversary of the burning of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, through which the occupation tried to obscure the features of the Palestinian Arab identity of Jerusalem, stressing that the goals of the fire still exist through the systematic policy of Judaization and displacement carried out by successive occupation governments through their tools of the police, army, courts and settlers.
She said, "This policy requires the permanent support of all our people and in all the squares of the Holy City and its Palestinian people, the owners of the land and history, and that this support be translated with actual and field steps on the ground, and the factions of our people and their living forces will continue their struggle in adherence to Jerusalem and all national constants."
She pointed out that she directed the National Events Committee to do what is necessary to commemorate the anniversary.
The Follow-up Committee also expressed its full support for the struggle of the prisoners of freedom in the occupation prisons against the jailer’s policies, especially against the criminal policy of administrative detention practiced by the occupation for decades, in flagrant violation of all humanitarian norms, laws and international covenants, emphasizing that the issue of prisoners will remain present in the priorities of all Palestinian forces. Considering the release of prisoners is a strategic issue.
