The Minister of Health, Mai Al-Kaila, announced today, Wednesday, the registration of two deaths, 753 new infections with the “Corona” virus, and 118 cases of recovery during the past 24 hours.
In the daily report on the epidemiological situation of the virus in Palestine, Al-Kaila confirmed that the two deaths were recorded in the Gaza Strip, while no deaths were recorded in the West Bank governorates.
She said that the new infections were recorded in the governorates as follows: Qalqilya (31), Tulkarm (65), Nablus (115), Tubas (14), Salfit (20), Jenin (39), Jericho and the Jordan Valley (6), Ramallah and Al-Bireh (44), Bethlehem (7), Jerusalem suburbs (2), Hebron (6), Gaza Strip (404), indicating that 6,463 tests were conducted.
Al-Kaila added that the new cases of recovery were recorded in the governorates as follows: Qalqilya (2), Nablus (22), Tubas (2), Jenin (21), Jericho and the Jordan Valley (1), Ramallah and Al-Bireh (9), Bethlehem (4) Jerusalem Suburbs (2), Hebron (5), Gaza Strip (50).
She stated that the rate of recovery from the virus in Palestine was 97.3%, while the percentage of active infections was 1.6%, and the death rate was 1.1% of the total infections.
She pointed out that there are 22 injured in intensive care rooms, while 61 patients are being treated in Corona centers and departments in West Bank hospitals, including 3 on ventilators.
The Ministry of Health indicated that the total number of citizens who received vaccinations against the “Corona” virus in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 667,894, of whom 432,731 received the two doses of the vaccine.
