The Prisoner’s Club clarified that the occupation prisons administration deprives the children and children of female prisoners of war from open visits, and from enabling them to embrace their children and children, and the deprivation has doubled since the beginning of last year with the beginning of the epidemic, due to the irregular visits.

A group of mothers are serving prison sentences for years. The Prisoner’s Club stressed that female prisoners are subjected to all kinds of abuse and torture that the occupation authorities pursue against Palestinian detainees, starting with arrests from homes at dawn to transfer to detention and investigation centers, and later their detention in prisons and their long-term deportation from their sons and daughters.
He pointed out that the issue of women´s detention has significantly escalated since 2015, and the number of female prisoners who have been arrested since 2015 has reached more than (1,000), including mothers of prisoners and martyrs, and underage girls, especially in Jerusalem.
The occupation authorities practice methods of torture and abuse against female prisoners, represented by holding them in cells that are not suitable for human life, in addition to the living conditions they suffer from, which the prison administration evades on the pretext that there is no sufficient budget to carry out reforms that threaten the lives of female prisoners, as female prisoners suffer from high humidity in the prisons. The rooms during the winter period, in addition to a problem with the floor of the al-Fura Square, the female prisoners are also forced to use blankets to close the bathrooms, and female prisoners suffer from the presence of cameras in the al-Fura Square, which violates their privacy. Over the past years, female prisoners have taken protest steps to reject the prison administration´s continued violation of their privacy in various ways and methods.
Female prisoners, like most prisoners, face interrogation for a long period, accompanied by physical and psychological torture methods, including: shabeh in various positions, shackles during the investigation period, sleep deprivation for long periods, continuous interrogation, isolation, extortion and threats, preventing lawyers from visiting them during the investigation period, and subjecting them to a lie detector, And severe beatings, such as continuous slapping, and solitary confinement, and their families were subjected to abuse, arrest and summons as part of the collective punishment policy. In addition, female prisoners are deprived of periodic medical care by a specialized gynecologist.
After their transfer to Damoun prison, the occupation prisons administration implements a series of policies against them, and abusive measures, including: medical negligence, where female prisoners, especially the wounded, suffer from deliberate procrastination in providing and following-up treatment. She suffered from first, second and third degree burns on her body, and she lost 8 of her fingers, and had deformities in the face and back area, and she is still suffering from a difficult health and psychological situation due to the delay in her treatment by the occupation prisons administration.
As a result of the occupation’s existence and its continuous efforts to oppress the Palestinians, break their will and separate their families, the mothers of thousands of prisoners in the occupation’s prisons have been deprived of their children for years, albeit through deprivation by preventing them from visiting. The occupation authorities also used the arrest of the prisoners´ mothers as a means of pressure on their sons, with the aim of inflicting the greatest psychological harm on the prisoners and detainees.
