The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced today, Wednesday, that two deaths, and 869 new cases of corona were recorded, in the last 24 hours.
In its daily report, the ministry indicated that it had conducted 3,132 laboratory tests.
She stated that 145 new cases of recovery were recorded from those infected with the virus.
The total number of injured in the sector reached 124271, including 6,912 active cases, 116231 recoveries, and 1,128 deaths.
The ministry indicated that the total number of cases requiring medical care in the hospital is 175, and the total number of serious and critical cases is 116.
The total doses that reached the Gaza Strip reached 336,300, while the vaccine received 144,537.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza said that there is a relative increase in the demand for vaccination with the Corona virus, coinciding with the launch of the campaign targeting all groups, especially the elderly, to spare them complications and risks of infection with the virus.
The ministry pointed out, in a brief statement, that there is a flock of citizens to vaccination centers in all areas of the Strip.
Bader Al-Safadi, Deputy Director of the Health Education Department at the Ministry of Health in Gaza, expressed his hope that the numbers of people who will receive the vaccine will increase in the coming days, stressing that vaccination is an important way to raise immunity against the virus.
Al-Safadi pointed out that there are encouraging measures for those over 55 to receive the vaccination, and we are trying to encourage citizens to receive the vaccination in order to preserve their lives.
He indicated that vaccination is available to everyone and is free of charge, and all rumors aim to reduce the demand for vaccination, stressing that vaccination has no risks, and that its application starts from 16 years and above.
"Following safety procedures and health instructions and receiving vaccination is the way to protect against the Corona virus," he said.
He pointed out that there is an increase in cases infected with the Corona virus, and there are critical and serious cases in the European Hospital, and the new mutation is dangerous as it affects children.
