Local Government: There is no safe area in Gaza where services can be provided

The advisor to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Local Government in Gaza, Eng. Zahdi Al-Ghariz, said that the occupation did not leave a safe area that could be provided with services through municipalities.

Al-Ghariz explained that the focus of the waves of displacement on the western region south of the Gaza Strip, "Al-Mawasi", is because the occupation knows that most of the areas there do not have a water network or sewage services, and services cannot be provided there due to the lack of the necessary infrastructure.

He stated that the concentration of displaced persons, exceeding 1.8 million displaced persons in this area, exacerbates the suffering of the crews in being able to reach these areas, a large part of which are "dead", meaning that they do not have services, even water.

Al-Ghariz indicated that the occupation destroyed most of the wells related to water, and they need to re-drill new wells, and there is no fuel to operate the remaining wells, and most of the solar energy was destroyed as a result of the occupation's military operations.

He stressed that the military operations are still ongoing until now, denying and refuting the occupation's allegations that they have stopped.

Al-Ghariz stated that the new wave of displacement is forcing the displaced to leave the central region to a "dead zone", exacerbating the suffering of the displaced and the residents.
