At least eight people were killed and 33 injured on Friday when a bomb exploded outside Kabul University in the Afghan capital as students waited to enter the exams.
Health Ministry spokesman Wahidullah Mayar said an explosion took place in front of the campus as a number of students entered the exams, local media reported. Meyar confirmed that the bombing killed eight people and wounded 33, amid fears of a rise in the number of dead and wounded. Kabul police said the blast was carried out by using hand-made magnetic detonators. Kabul police spokesman Framers Ferdos said a police team defused a second bomb placed near the blast site.
