27 Palestinians, Tuesday, raised the flag of Palestine and slogans in solidarity with the prisoners in the prisons of the occupation and the occupied city of Jerusalem, on the base of Mount "Everest" about 5,300 meters high.
The team embarked on a "hard" one-week climb, cutting more than 100 km uphill between the Himalayas and the summit of Mount Everest. According to official statistics, the number of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails reached about 5,700 prisoners, including 48 women, 230 children, 500 administrative detainees, 6 deputies in the Legislative Council and 700 patients, including 30 cases of cancer. Mount Everest is the highest mountain on the face of the Earth, rising to about 9 kilometers above sea level, one of the mountains that make up the Himalayas, on the borders of China, Nepal and northern India. The Europeans first discovered it in 1847, and after a few years of observations and calculations, its height was estimated at 8,888 meters and was recognized as the highest peak in the world.
