Under the slogan "No to uprooting, No to occupation," "No to Iraqi cleansing" and "We will not leave," hundreds of Jerusalemites and homeowners chanted in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood this Friday evening, during a rally rejecting the decisions of the Israeli courts to uproot the residents of the neighborhood handing over their homes to settlers.

The march started from the center of the main street in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood towards the houses that were seized - the house of al-Ghawi and Hanun - chanting “Outright, outright settler and occupation, we don’t want to see.” Dozens of them stood in front of the entrance to the seized houses in the neighborhood carrying slogans and loudspeakers. They chant "No to the occupation", "No to displacement", "Jerusalem is Arab".

While the march was led by Arab representatives in the Knesset, including Dr. Ahmed al-Tibi, Sami al-Saadi, MK Aida Touma-Sliman, and the head of the High Follow-up Committee, Muhammad Zeidan, as the Israeli police prevented her from entering the neighborhood through the military checkpoint and the concrete squares that they placed at the entrance to the neighborhood at the beginning of the events.
