YouTube has warned visitors who would rather watch videos on their web browser, using the Leanback theme that allows videos to be viewed with a large, high-definition interface, that this feature will soon disappear.
But this will not stop you from watching YouTube videos with this feature on other devices, while the site, owned by Alphabet, declined to comment.
It is not yet clear why YouTube stopped the Leanback theme, according to engadget.
But it may be an attempt to discourage electronic device makers from circumventing this attribute on the web. However, it may be just a diversion of corporate resources because many users now have access to this feature via smart TVs and more.
In these cases, the web version on YouTube is not unique.
YouTube will probably replace it to do more in local apps.
