The zoo and some museums in Washington gradually reopened their doors to visitors from the end of July, with health measures including physical distancing.
Most of the entertainment venues remain closed or stopped in the American capital, with slightly less than 700 people having died of Covid-19 since the beginning of the outbreak.
Other US cities recently imposed new restrictions to cope with the sharp increase in the number of Covid-19 cases, which has claimed more than 250,000 lives in the country.
