The US State Department announced today, Thursday, that President Joe Biden´s administration has decided to grant the Palestinians $ 15 million to help them fight COVID-19 in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
The State Department said in a statement, which Jerusalem received a copy of, that "the funds allocated from the US Agency for International Development will help support the efforts of Catholic Relief Services in health care facilities in addition to treating the issue of food insecurity."
It is noteworthy that a draft US diplomatic note stated that "President Joe Biden´s administration is drafting a plan aimed at reviving the collapsed US-Palestinian relations during the era of former President Donald Trump."
The draft stated that "the American vision is to enhance freedom, security and prosperity for Israelis and Palestinians in the short term."
