Dozens of citizens were injured yesterday during clashes with the occupation forces, which suppressed the weekly demonstrations rejecting settlements in the towns of Beita and Beit Dajan in Nablus.
Hundreds of citizens performed Friday prayers at the outskirts of Sabeeh Mountain, which is threatened by settlement, and after the prayer ended, they marched from several directions towards the mountain in rejection of the settlement outpost established on its top.
The occupation forces fired bullets and tear gas canisters extensively to suppress the marches, and
the Red Crescent crews dealt with more than 115 injuries during home clashes, including one with live bullets in the thigh, which was taken to Rafidia Hospital, and 12 with rubber-coated metal bullets.
In the morning, the occupation forces bulldozed one of the roads leading to Jabal Subaih, to obstruct the demonstrators´ access to the mountain.
In Beit Dajan, dozens were injured by metal bullets and tear gas as a result of the occupation forces´ suppression of the weekly march condemning the settlements in Beit Dajan.
The Red Crescent Society reported that its ambulance crews dealt with the injury of a citizen with metal bullets, and dozens of cases of suffocation with tear gas.
After Friday prayers, the march left the center of the village towards the lands on which settlers established a settlement outpost about a year ago.
The deputy mayor of Beita, Musa Hamayel, told a national journalthat the occupation forces suppressed the march of Beita people, which started after they performed Friday prayers, today, in the vicinity of Jabal Sobeih, in refusal to establish a settlement outpost on the top of the mountain, with tear gas and sound bombs. without any injuries.
