The Minister of Health, Mai Al-Kaila, announced today, Friday, the registration of two deaths, 169 new infections with the Corona virus, and 53 cases of recovery during the last 24 hours.
Al-Kaila said that two deaths were recorded in the Gaza Strip as a result of complications from infection with the virus.
Al-Kaila explained that the new recovery cases were distributed as follows: “Tulkarem 4, Jenin 14, Nablus 12, Ramallah and Al-Bireh 2, Hebron 6, and the Gaza Strip 15.”
She indicated that the recovery rate from the Corona virus in Palestine was 98.4%, while the percentage of active infections was 0.5%, and the death rate was 1.1% of the total infections.
She pointed out that there are 11 patients in intensive care rooms, while 18 patients are being treated in Corona centers and departments in hospitals in the West Bank, including two patients on ventilators.
With regard to the citizens who received anti-Coronavirus vaccines, their total number in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 607,942, including 423,327 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
