Turkish police have arrested 22 Syrian and Iraqi nationalities in a series of raids on suspicion of links to a terrorist group, the Anatolia news agency reported on Monday.
The report said the raids were carried out in the capital, Ankara.
According to Anatolia, 17 Iraqis and five Syrians, who fought with a fugitive in Syria and Iraq, were treated and entered Turkey illegally. Security measures are usually tightened through the country ahead of Labor Day, which falls on Wednesday.
Last week, a suspected member of Daqash was arrested in the northwestern state of Tekirdag and accused of plotting an attack on World War I anniversary celebrations.
Turkey has been hit by a series of deadly attacks blamed on a militant organization since 2015, including a New Year´s attack in 2017 at a nightclub in Istanbul that killed 39 people.
