An Egyptian delegation of engineers and technicians is preparing to enter the Gaza Strip to learn about the extent of the damage done in the Gaza Strip as a result of the recent Israeli aggression and to participate in the removal of debris.


"Four Egyptian engineers and three technicians arrived at noon on the Egyptian side of the Rafah land crossing and are preparing to go to the Palestinian side to enter the Gaza Strip to see the extent of the damage to infrastructure buildings caused by the aggression against Gaza," informed sources said.

She added, "Coordination was made to bring in heavy machinery and equipment, including rams, rams and trucks, accompanied by Egyptian engineers through the Rafah crossing."

The Egyptian delegation´s tour will focus - according to the source - in the "Sand" neighborhood in western Gaza City, which witnessed great destruction during the recent aggression on Gaza.

On Monday, the Director of Egyptian Intelligence, Abbas Kamel, visited the Gaza Strip, where he held a meeting with the leadership of the "Hamas" movement in Gaza headed by Yahya Sinwar, in addition to another expanded meeting with the leaders of the Palestinian factions in the Strip.

The director of intelligence, accompanied by the leadership of "Hamas", visited an inspection site proposed to establish a residential city in the "Al-Zahraa" area in the central Gaza Strip, with Egyptian funding and supervision, as part of the reconstruction projects.

On May 10, the Gaza Strip was subjected to a major aggression that lasted for 11 days, during which 256 Palestinians, mostly children, women and the elderly, were killed, and more than 1,600 others were injured.

According to the Government Information Office in Gaza, 1,447 housing units in Gaza were completely demolished as a result of the Israeli bombing, along with another 13,000 that were partially damaged to varying degrees.

According to the government report, the occupation army completely demolished 205 homes, apartments and residential towers, and the headquarters of 33 media organizations, as well as damaging other institutions, offices and associations.

The report stated that 75 government headquarters and public facilities were subjected to Israeli bombardment, ranging from service facilities to security and police headquarters.

Also, 68 schools, health facilities, and primary care clinics were severely and partially damaged by the heavy bombardment in their vicinity, while 490 agricultural facilities including animal farms, agricultural bathrooms, wells and irrigation networks were damaged.
