President Mahmoud Abbas issued a decree postponing the holding of the general elections that were called for January 15/2021, after the Israeli occupation authorities prevented the preparation and holding of the elections in occupied Jerusalem, and in light of the decision of the expanded Palestinian leadership meeting Which included the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, the Central Committee of the "Fatah" movement, leaders of Palestinian national action factions, and national figures.
