Indian media reported on Friday that the death toll of torrential rains and floods sweeping the state of Kerala in India had risen to 324.
This was in line with figures published by state government chief Benaryee Vijayan, speaking of "the worst floods in a century."
"324 lives were lost" within 10 days of flooding in the state, which is a tourist destination, Vijayan said in a tweet on Twitter, according to AFP.
