The United States has announced that it will end a programme to finance the stabilization efforts in northern Syria, which it has seized from ISIL, where officials say the allies will be funded.
The announcement was made on Friday hours after Saudi Arabia announced it had contributed $100 million to stabilization projects in those areas largely controlled by the US-backed Kurdish forces.
The US State Department said it had informed Congress that it would not use the $230 million dollars earmarked for Syrian projects.
The officials insisted that the decision would not affect other humanitarian aid or US military presence in Syria.
